Wiesbaden Army Airfield![]() Video & Command Center Solutions: Wiesbaden Army Airfield ![]() The Black Box team implemented a Cisco DMP 4400G A/V Solution for the Command Control Communications Computer for Intelligences (C4I) system at the MCC to offer features such as sound reinforcement/audio playback systems with high fidelity audio, expandable audio digital signal processors (DSPs), IR microphone systems with lapel microphones and 74 push-to-talk systems (at podiums and tables), HD video displays, computer video from multiple networks, and video conferencing capabilities. The A/V equipment is industrial grade, to operate on a 24x7x365 basis and meet functional requirements such as tele-presence and large-scale conferencing needs. The Video Teleconferencing capability supports up to 130 people in the Combined Operations Intelligence Center (COIC) Knowledge Wall area; providing A/V essential support infrastructure and equipment such as DVDs, cameras, dual screen VTC units, and a computer and laptop video to allow for presentations on 48 70” LED/LCDs. To ensure no loss of service, we installed eight (8) back-up VTC units to the server in the COIC. The COIC Knowledge Wall at MCC was also equipped with one (1) VTC Market Central A/B switch, which allows users to classify conferences as “classified” or “unclassified” and ensures classification integrity is maintained while in use; and discrete RS232 A/V control ports (IP based) with touch panel graphical user interfaces (GUIs), which allows instructors/presenters to easily operate all A/V equipment within the COIC, including camera control, audio source selection and volume control, set-top box selection and channel selection, Blu-ray disc selection, transport control, and lighting control. Further A/V implementations carried out as additional Options to the baseline above, included EFITC teleconferencing capabilities to support up to 30 conference attendees in the War Room, 20 attendees for a Large Conference Room, 12 attendees for a Medium Conference Room, and eight (8) attendees for a Small conference room. Each conference area included the same infrastructure as the NOIC Knowledge Wall including the VTC Market Central A/B Switch, RS232 A/V control port, and all A/V essential equipment including DVDs, Cameras, dual screen VTC units, and 70” LED/LCDs. |
